A Walk to Remember
October 13 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm CDT
Empty Cradle at Pella Regional Health Center is honored to invite the community to “A Walk to Remember” on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 3:00 pm. The memorial event will take place at the historic Scholte Church, located in the Pella Historical Village, with entry at the corner of Franklin Street and East 2nd Street.
The event will begin with a touching service at Scholte Church, followed by a remembrance stroll through the Pella Historical Village. Attendees will have the opportunity to view memorial signs commemorating precious babies who have been lost. The event will conclude with a butterfly release, symbolizing hope and remembrance.
Empty Cradle at Pella Regional provides crucial support and connection for families who have experienced the loss of a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. This program offers a compassionate space for families to share their experiences, exchange resources, and find meaningful ways to honor their lost loved ones. All parents and families are welcome to join, regardless of where they are in their grief journey or how long it has been since their loss.
For more information or to request a memorial sign to be displayed during the remembrance stroll, please contact Leah Garland, Bereavement Coordinator at Hospice of Pella, at 641-620-5050.
